I'm Grace Note, a Community Manager from Stack Exchange. Though what I'm giving here is my personal stance, not a imperial decree or anything. Just want to get this out there first. Also not going to comment on the question in specific mention, as I'm not particularly strong in this subject matter and it may well be salvageable to an open question for what I ...

Muze, all Stack Exchange sites have moderators to supplement the community. A moderator has the ability to perform what we informally refer to as an "insta-close", which immediately closes the question with only one close vote. The community has the ability to override this if they desire by voting to reopen. Many of our users may simply not have the time to ...

Since it seems people are hesitant to stake out an answer, I would like to offer a suggestion. I didn't want to offer my own opinion because I wanted to give the community a chance to decide, but instead of offering an opinion I'll give an estimation of what the community wants based on what types of questions were closed. With the exception of the recently ...

I am going to make a try at answering this, a couple of things to keep in mind when reading this answer. I have probably written the highest volume of way out there questions. The purpose of closing a question is to encourage the poster to improve the question by editing it. Asking another one is not the idea. Take cues from the comments left, and from the reason for closing. If that isn't enough, ask for clarification in the comments under your question. The answers to your question, in this case, also explain why one can only ...

When people vote to close there can be a mix of reasons, there could be some "unclear what you are asking" votes there as well. When the close happens, I believe that only the most frequent reason is given. So it's possible that the message is slightly misleading in that respect, and that not all users voted that way. That said, while I am not sure, I do ...

your question has been answered multiple times, by multiple people, at length. Asking it again isn't going to get a different answer.

tl;dr: edit or respond quickly to helpful comments about phrases or words in your question. To help things along I've made some small edits to your question, left a comment there, and clicked the "vote to reopen" button. Here's my personal take on this. It's a good question to ask, and there are good answers. The good answers demonstrate that answers ...

I'll add a contra-position answer to permit voting. I think any questions in the Space Exploration Stack Exchange should make it clear how they are related explicitly to the exploration of space, particularly by the use of space craft. If we were to extend the remit to all topics that relate to knowledge of space, such as celestial mechanics, we end up ...

Edit it and make it better! That is sort of the point.
